Typhoon has integrated the standardised tri-clamp fitting, defined in the ISO 2852 standard and elsewhere, into its delivery programme for top-entry stirrers. The slim bearing housing combined with the naturally sanitary tri-clamp fitting make it possible to construct and install stirrers on tanks in a compact manner where little room is available.

The tri-clamp fitting at the bottom of the bearing housing is attached to the tri-clamp ferrule welded to the tank. The ferrule is sanitarily connected via the clamp.

Directly powered top-entry stirrers with shafts varying from Ø 22 to 45 mm and capacities of 0.18 to 9.2 kW are suitable for use with the tri-clamp fitting. This sanitary connection can also be used in an ATEX environment, and is therefore suitable for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
